John Crane has been awarded a new condition based maintenance (CBM) contract from Talisman Energy. The contract will initially run for a period of 3 years.

The contract is to provide CBM services covering a wide range of rotating equipment at Talisman's onshore and offshore sites in the North Sea. John Crane will use a unique combination of equipment, specialist skills and services to develop a maintenance strategy and deliver the CBM programme.

The CBM service is designed to provide management and decision makers with accurate condition information about their assets, both on and off site, at locations anywhere in the world. Advanced processing turns the data into useful information that is reviewed by specialists and compared against historical performance. This allows timely and informed decisions to be made, improving uptime and increasing operational efficiency.
